The What:
When the new Head of Recruitment wasn’t due to start at Buck for 3 months, the HR department provided cover and reached out to Harry, due to previous years of successfully working with them on a range of roles.
Harry presented our newest service ‘Partner’ which is our solution for a high position number but with a fast turnaround time. BWD would essentially work as an extension of Buck’s HR department but with BWD’s exclusive candidate pool. With rates and fees remaining the same as our Adapt service, it was agreed that BWD would be the Exclusive Recruiter for both the Actuarial and Investment divisions.
Numerous briefing calls with Hiring Managers were completed and numerous roles, across various divisions and at various levels, were made available to BWD to review and submit candidates to.
Harry and his team quickly got to work, approaching the top talent on the market and their exclusive ‘hot list’ this is a list of exclusive candidates that only work with BWD and do not actively seek out opportunities. Due to the service agreed, BWD also advertised the partnership with dual-branded adverts and content about a career at Buck.
Although the interview process was fairly standard; BWD presented CVs to the Hiring Managers, arranged all interviews and provided all feedback, as part of our Partner service we also had fortnightly calls with Hiring Managers to not only discuss any updates and feedback but to also discuss any struggles or company updates that could be useful for BWD to know to ensure we were representing Buck and the opportunities correctly.
The final part of the Partner service also available is our on-boarding service, which Buck also utilised. This included performing any reference and credit checks required, pre and post check in calls and conducting regular catch ups with both the new hire and their line manager.
