BWD is committed to helping Professional Pension Trustee firms (and other employers) continually monitor and improve their recruitment processes to help create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
The BWD DE&I Index is a measure of diversity developed to support this aim. It uses a firm’s diversity data, assessed against the 9 protected characteristics (weighted using TPR’s diversity data on its own workforce), to produce a single score. This score ranges between 0% and 100%.
A score of 0% or 100%, suggests a firm’s workforce is not diverse. For example, all employees are males of white origin, or all employees are females not of white origin.
A score of 50%, suggests a firm’s workforce is diverse. For example, there are an equal number of males and females, and an equal number of employees of white origin and not of white origin.
